In today’s Gospel, Jesus goes up the mountain by himself to pray. Jesus often spends the whole night in prayer, teaching us that it is good to seek quietness and stillness when in prayer. God is always with us, but we need to seek him out and listen for the tiny whispering sound of his voice calling us to him.
