Today, on the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, we profess what we believe and celebrate at every Mass: The simple, ordinary gifts of bread and wine are transformed, by the power of the Holy Spirit, into our Lord’s Real Presence. When we partake of the Eucharist, Jesus remains with us. Let us pray that we may be more aware of this presence so we can proclaim this truth to others.
